Hello parents.
Your children found their inner artist this week. They made portraits of friends just as Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa. They created their own version of Litchenstien , Made dragon sculptures like Donatello , painted to music like Wassily Kandinsky and they painted stained glass like Marc Chagall. Tuesday was a special day we celebrated Micah's 5 th birthday with cups cakes , a chapter or Ramona ( Micahs favorite book) and several rounds of pin the tail on the donkey.
Friday we made hamasshen and ate it for our Snack.
If you haven't already sent in a picture of your house or building please do as we will be drawing them to simulate Raphael who was architect .
Have a great weekend Susan and Sara
In mandarin this week
This week we read "Who Ate It?" by Japanese Children's book illustrator and writer Taro Gomi. The children had fun finding the food hidden among the animals in the pictures. They also got a chance the review counting, as each page has one more animal than the previous one.
Since there are elephants on the second page of the book, we also reviewed The Elephant Song.
Elephant, elephant,
Why is your trunk so long?
Mom says a long snout is beautiful.
That's it for this week. Have a great weekend!
