Week of may 16

Hello parents,
We went from winter coats on Monday to shorts and sunscreen on Tuesday! Welcome to New England.
Your children have been enjoying the beautiful weather by playing both on the playground and in the courtyard.  We have been talking about friendships and how to be a good friend. We have been sure to talk about including all the friends in our class and not leaving anyone out. We also have been talking about using our hands to help not hurt, be kind, respectful, and use nice words always.
Everytime we catch one of the children being a good friend they receive a heart on the board and a round of applause at meeting. The children have been very receptive to it.
In music your children have been busy practicing their violin and learning new songs! They love it.

On Monday each child created their own puzzle doll piece for our friendship puzzle.
Mastering our morning work!

We have been working on our kindergarten sight words, pre reading skills and math skills the children this week have been filling in numbers on a number line. And working on which numbers come before and after one another.

We look forward to Friday's with Miss Ginny what a way to end a great week! Have a great weekend
Miss Susan and Sara
